PK - 4 Principal

Mrs. Valente strongly believes in educating and valuing each student as a whole person and strives to work with educators to create a nurturing and validating learning environment where all students are supported as unique individuals and expected to reach their full potential. Mrs. Valente has been at DeRuyter since 2018.  Prior to becoming a Rocket she taught several grades at the elementary level and served as a special education teacher.  Mrs. Valente earned a Bachelor's in Inclusion and Elementary Education from Niagara University, a Master's In Literacy Education from SUNY Cortland and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Administrative Leadership from SUNY Oswego.
