Teaching Assistant

Position Description:

DCS is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with disabilities in accessing general education curriculum.  Teaching Assistants are valuable members of a student’s educational team as they are responsible for assisting students in the general education classroom as well as assisting teaching staff with making appropriate modifications to ensure student success.  A successful candidate will be collaborative, patient and flexible and be comfortable working with students of a variety of ages and developmental stages.
 
Certification Requirements:
Hold or be actively working towards NYS Level I, II or III Teaching Assistant certification

Elementary School Counselor

Position Description:  DCS is seeking an Elementary School Counselor to provide support in the areas of social/emotional development, academic readiness, and caree readiness to elementary students.  NYS Elementary School Counselor Certification required.




Substitute Nurse - DeRuyter Central School is looking for a Substitute Nurse - LPN ($95/day) or RN ($105/day) (preferred).  Items to include in application packet: Letter of interest, Resume, NYS Licensing information, Completed DCS Application (available at www.deruytercentral.org under Human Resources), Current Letters of Reference to Sandy Welsh, District Clerk, DeRuyter Central School, 711 Railroad Street, DeRuyter, NY 13052 or email to welsh@deruytercentral.org

  • Substitute Nurse   Application package must contain Letter of Interest, a completed DCS application (available in the download section of this page), and current Letters of Reference.  The rate of pay is $95 for RN and LPN is at current minimum wage.
  • Substitute Cleaners.   Application package must contain Letter of Interest, a completed DCS application (available in the download section of this page), and current Letters of Reference.  The rate of pay is current minimum wage.
  • Substitute Bus Drivers - $20.00/hour.  CDL w/Passenger Endorsement Preferred (but will train).   Application package must contain Letter of Interest, a completed DCS application (available in the download section of this page), and current Letters of Reference.
